First impressions of this PFD were good, it looked very similar to the Evo 5 that some personnel currently use. I noticed with the Evo6 that there was further padding on the shoulder straps with an added point of attachment for lights which was very good. The waistband was also a good improvement to help prevent the PFD from riding up the body. I also noted that a couple of additional D links had been put into the new Evo 6 which then gave the option of further attachment points for the karabiner. The Velcro around the chest area was a nice touch to help assist keep the PFD closed, but I don’t see this as a major improvement. Overall though the Evo 6 would be a natural upgrade to the current Evo 5.
