Grant assistance to develop a deep-water test tank and entry area for the testing of diving equipment and diving at Northern Diver Building, East Quarry, Appley Lane North, Appley Bridge, Wigan, Lancashire, WN6 9AE.

The origin of the Dive Tank idea

Many years ago, our owner had the ambitious plan to develop our Appley Bridge Headquarters into a true diving hub for the North West. As our business grows, we want to ensure that we offer the best possible support and service to our customers, while also ensuring that we keep the local community at the heart of everything we do.

In 2014, thanks in part to funding and investment from The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, we were able to break ground on our construction of the Northern Diver Test Centre.

This development project encompasses the development of a deep-water test tank and the easy entry to this tank. Due to the nature of our business, our products need depth testing to ensure they’re the best they can be before we sell them to our customers. As suppliers to military, commercial and rescue organisations across the globe, as well as recreational and sport divers, we’re not only passionate about providing quality – it’s essential to our business.

We’ve built the tank for the testing of diving equipment and for divers to train, practice and dive in. We’re hoping this will make it easier for us to test our products and to keep researching and developing new and ingenious products for you.
